The Highland Foundation is a private charitable foundation established in 2020 to build on the philanthropic endeavours of Joan and Rick Smith. Integral to the Foundation is the involvement of family members of all ages. It is intended that the Foundation exist in perpetuity.
The tradition of giving is centred on three pillars - support for the community’s most vulnerable, wellbeing and medical research. The foundation makes grants within Australia in the hope of improving people’s lives in lasting and positive ways.
